What The Roof Doctor Does….
The coating we use and recommend is an absolutely AMAZING rubberised stretchy product, that as well as restoring colour to make the roof look vibrant and new, the coating that we call “FlexBond” bonds the tiles together and seals the whole roof!
Thanks for dropping by my name is John Affleck, I am 70 next year, which is one of the reasons I am not interested in running a roofing business. My roofing background over the last 15 years is as follows.
In 2011 I started Smart-Roof, a business that dealt mainly in roof cleaning and coatings. I purchased the below right trailer and worked on the same estate for 18 months, until I sold the business, as I got fed up with the unreliable idiots I was employing.
During this time we installed around 800 jobs, (had untold holidays) around 700 jobs were in the same post code, over 500 installs were on the same estate of around 5,000 homes, that’s 1 in 10.
On the right is the rear of the flyer, which we added new addresses, and delivered every two months in a gripseal bag on the same estate. (I can design your flyer)
Again, the main point is: the easy to recognise vehicles being seen again and again, in the same area create trust and become punter magnets. Then when a flyer with the same vehicles on the front and 100’s of local addresses on the back lands on the carpet in a useful gripseal bag, BINGO!
Arran ex installer of mine, seeing how well Alan & Nathan were doing, asked me to help him start a business. I agreed to purchase everything that he needed, I would take 10% until I got my £8k investment back, the rest we would split 50/50, six months after I got my money back, he could buy me out for £10k.
We went to work on the same front & back 1960’s semi’s estate, I worked on for in 2011/2, only the roofs were 15 years further down the road now and they all needed attention!
You! Yes you reading this! You have the exact same 1960 estates in your area, wherever you live in the UK.
We parked the Roof Doctor Emergency Ambulance on the estate, delivered some leaflets, talked to a few people and started working. After a week people were just walking up to Arran who has no sales experience, and asking if he could do their house.
Long story short, I set Arran up with a months work, my wife and I went to a wedding in Hawaii and a birthday party in Manilla.
Got home, Arran, the idiot on the right had put all of his money into online slot machines, as well as mine. He had pissed off numerous customers as he couldn’t pay for materials to complete the work.
I have since got all of the customers sorted and his fat wife has paid back most of the money. I will collect the remainder shortly or serve legal papers. Hence, the sale of The Roof Doctor!
To replace the x2 Easi Decs would cost £4k each = £8k just for the x2 Easi Decs!
Note: Easi Decs are well used one could do with a new board, new bolts, there is one side safety rail missing on one platform.
Ambulance MOT’d starts on the button GREAT vehicle, GREAT punter magnet!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a person 25 – 35 years of age, with basic roofing experience & common sense to get started in business.
I will teach you how to get customers all in the same area, without paying fortunes to advertise or Checkatrade etc.
